Vasudev Sharan Agrawal Centre for Cultural Studies

Named in honour of the eminent art historian and cultural scholar Vasudev Sharan Agrawal, this Centre serves as an academic forum for the interdisciplinary exploration of India’s cultural heritage in both historical and contemporary contexts. Its scope of research encompasses archaeology, literature, visual and performing arts, and extends to the documentation and safeguarding of intangible cultural traditions. The Centre actively engages in collaborative partnerships at both national and international levels to encourage cross-cultural dialogues, facilitate cultural exchange programmes, and generate scholarly outputs that enrich the understanding and appreciation of India’s diverse cultural expressions. Oversight of the Centre’s scholarly and operational initiatives is provided by Dr. Rohit RawatMr. Vimlendra Shekhar Chaturvedi, Mr. Rajan Yadav and Mr. Vijay Kumar Rai.
