Objectives

  1. To promote the preservation, documentation, and revitalization of indigenous knowledge systems, sacred geographies, and cultural practices rooted in the civilizational heritage of Kashi and broader Indian traditions.
  2. To undertake evidence-based and policy-relevant researchon governmental and non-governmental development programmes, with the objective of improving their design, implementation, and impact on targeted communities.
  3. To assess and analyse the ongoing projects and interventions of non-governmental organisations (NGOs)with the aim of evaluating their design, implementation strategies, and ground-level impact, and to produce comprehensive reports that inform improvements in policy relevance, effectiveness, and scalability.
  4. To develop and propose culturally embedded models of development and public policy, integrating traditional wisdom with contemporary technological and institutional innovations.
  5. To contribute to grassroots development through participatory action research, community engagement, and capacity-building initiatives aimed at strengthening local governance and social capital.
  6. To formulate model institutional frameworksfor public service delivery, policy innovation, and knowledge-based social transformation in alignment with India’s constitutional and developmental goals.
  7. To support sustainable religious and cultural tourism, by designing and promoting models that foster economic development while preserving the sanctity and ecological balance of heritage sites.
  8. To function as a knowledge platform that bridges academic scholarship, public policy, and civil society engagement, thereby fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and collaborative problem-solving.
  9. To align its research, advisory, and outreach activities with the national vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047, contributing to India’s transformation into a self-reliant, inclusive, and culturally conscious modern republic.
  10. To disseminate knowledge and best practices through seminars, policy dialogues, workshops, publications, and digital media, with the aim of informing public discourse and influencing evidence-informed policymaking.
